Screening (Dramedy): Screenwriter, Alexandra Weir (WGAE Women’s Salon), will present her short, COOL ME DOWN (13m), followed by discussion of how her short actually came after the production of her feature, NORTH OF NORMAL (on Prime), proving there’s never a bad time to make a short and elevate your presence.

Screening BIG EARS (13m), followed by beat breakdowns, identifying structure, and a brief Lecture on “Active” vs “Passive” protagonists, structuring comedy (Comedy Protagonists often stay the same with the world changing around the protagonist).

From the lecture, write five scenarios that would ACTIVATE your protagonists (an event that would cause them to make a decision then act on it).

Read aloud: a few cohort will read aloud their activation worksheets and get notes from the Team.
