MARY STUART MASTERSON

Mary Stuart Masterson is a filmmaker, entrepreneur, mother of four, committed locavore and full time resident of the Hudson Valley. Her film, TV and theater career, includes roles in At Close Range, Some Kind of Wonderful, Immediate Family [National Board of Review Award] Fried Green Tomatoes, Benny and Joon, and the Broadway musical, Nine [Tony Award nomination], with recent film roles in Five Nights at Freddy’s, Isle of Hope, The Senior, Pretty Ugly, and Sunny.
Mary Stuart moved to the Hudson Valley in 2006 when on location directing, The Cake Eaters, starring Kristen Stewart and Bruce Dern (released in 2009). In 2016, Masterson founded Hudson Valley based, Stockade Works, a crew training and mentorship non-profit, that has trained and continues to mentor over 500 Hudson Valley residents as of its 10th anniversary. With her husband, Jeremy Davidson, she is co-founder of the Storyhorse Documentary Theater project. SAG-AFTRA, AEA, AMPAS
Nicole quinn
(writer/Director)
Nicole Quinn has written scripts for HBO, Showtime, and network television. Her feature film, RACING DAYLIGHT (writer/director) stars Academy Award winner Melissa Leo and Emmy winner David Strathairn. Her short plays are published by Playscripts, Inc. She produces/narrates audiobooks for Audible, an endeavor that began when she won a contest to read AMERICAN GODS. Nicole also co-directed a high school playwriting workshop at Rondout Valley High School, with a group called Underage Thespian Action.
HEMAL TRIVEDI
(Writer/Director)
Internationally celebrated filmmaker, Hemal Trivedi is best known for her work on the documentaries Shabeena's Quest, and Among the Believers. Her stunning, award winning short doc collaboration, WHERE THE LIGHT ENTERS YOU, is an astounding work of beauty. Hemal has been editing and directing documentary films for 20 years and is now employing her storytelling chops on narrative projects. Her work has won one Oscar, three Emmys, one Peabody with seven additional Emmy nominations, plus a nomination for MTV Movie Awards, Independent Spirits Awards, and Cinema Eye Award.
BILLY MERNIT
(Former UNIVERSAL STORY ANALYST/UCLA Screenwriting Teacher)
A story analyst at Universal Pictures for nearly 30 years, BILLY MERNIT has worked on such movies as Bridesmaids and Wicked. In screenwriting circles, he’s known as "the guru of rom-com" for his best-selling textbook, Writing the Romantic Comedy, and taught writing at UCLA Extension for decades. During some 50 years in the entertainment industry he’s written for television (NBC’s Santa Barbara), had his first novel published by Random House, and written songs recorded by Carly Simon and Judy Collins, among others.
HOLLIE HARPER
(Writer/Comedian)
Hollie Harper is a Brooklyn-based comedian, writer, and actor whose work blends sharp cultural satire with character-driven comedy. She wrote, co-created, and co-executive produced Hella Late! with Hollie Harper, BRIC TV’s first late-night variety show, where she also starred. Her performance earned a Best Actress nomination at the NYC Web Fest. As an actor, Hollie won Best Actress at the Act One One-Act Fest and received a BroadwayWorld Best Actress nomination for her performance in Melanie Godreaux’s The Popes of Farragut Street. As a comedian and writer, Hollie was an NBC Stand Up semi-finalist, and her sold-out live comedy show F.D.K., co-created with Emily Flake, has been featured at the Knockouts Women’s Comedy Festival, the New York Comedy Festival, and the iO Comedy Festival in Chicago.
